Back to Blogging: Unveiling The Scripted Diary Once More

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!

So this is the part where I'm meant to introduce myself to my readers and my mind goes poof! So here goes something...

My name is Naomi, I live in London and I'm 28 years old. I hope I am still 28 years old by the time this post gets published! You'll figure out why I say that, in a few seconds. I have a great passion for writing and putting my thoughts on paper or in this case my laptop. It's honestly therapeutic. I am a mummy to my darling cat Nala. Apart from writing and watching the news I really enjoy going for long walks and I'm a sucker for all things health and wellness, some may call me a hypochondriac, but that's a topic to delve into for another day. What's another fun fact about me, hmm? I try and get into watching series but unless it's Eastenders, (yes Eastenders!) or a show I watched as a child then I will find it hard to watch consistently. As for movies, that can take me a few weeks (or months) to complete haha.

Now I think I've managed to make myself seem as seamless as possible. Which in most cases I am, but life doesn't pan out that way for most of us, does it? My journey with The Scripted Diary aka TSD, (which I will reference on this platform as) hasn't been a smooth journey for me. This is my 3rd first blog post....

Yes my 3rd first blog post! As a quote by James A. Michener says “Character consists of what you do on the third and fourth tries''. I chose not to give up on TSD. In subsequent blog posts I will take you on a journey of failure, triumph, and life gems I've picked up over the years. This first post alone has been a few months in the pipeline. I've been torn between wanting to put something out because of the pressure I have put on myself. At the same time I want my posts to be as possible. I enjoy blogging, I really do. It's been a crippling journey but I've polished my boots and jumped back on the saddle.

You're probably wondering why do I enjoy blogging and writing, so let's fast forward to my imaginary interview with Diane Sawyer, Oprah Winfrey, Piers Morgan or maybe Shannon Sharpe, who knows!

Interviewer: 'So Naomi why do you blog?'

'

Naomi : 'I blog because I love to be expressive, I enjoy creating a think tank and exploring the thoughts within it. I have a background in Journalism. I've also envisioned myself creating a community of transparency, from the most minute things to topics that could potentially change the trajectory of one's life. In the most logical way possible I've never really adhered to maintaining the status quo. I've always questioned, 'why do I think the way I think or react the way I react? How am I so sure that what I believe is the absolute truth? I remember studying philosophy & ethics for my first year of A-levels and it was from there that I was introduced to great minds like Plato and Aristotle. It's okay to question things and be a free thinker. The only problem is being a 'freethinker' in the 'modern day free world', could be more or less a tough cookie to crack.'

TSD is for any and everyone.

If you've gotten this far in reading the first post, thank you very much, it means a lot. Please do come back for your regular dose of posts. Here, you’ll find a mix of reflections on relationships, family life, and current affairs, the little and big things that make up our everyday stories.

But before you go and click off this post, 'What’s one belief or idea that has completely changed the way you see the world?'. This could be from a religious, scientific, legal or any other standpoint! Please leave your answer in the comment box below and I'll reply!
